What is a Kadai – A Kadai is a type of thick, circular, and deep cooking pot that originated in the Indian subcontinent. It is used in Indian, Afghan, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Nepalese cuisines. Kadai’s come in many different sizes and designs, from traditionally hand made hammer forged steel ones made from multiple pieces of plate steel, to newly pressed steel dishes.

Heat distribution is important because these pans are so deep, and you’ll need to find a pan that is large enough for your needs but that you can also lift easily.
