Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor – For a Romantic Interlude

Fisherman's Wharf Mobor Beach

Fisherman's Wharf Mobor Beach

Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor Review, Mobor Beach, Near Holiday Inn, Cavelossim, Goa

Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor beach offers a great destination in a serene setting for a romantic interlude. The riverside setting is absolutely fantastic for a dinner with your beloved. Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor is predominantly a seafood but a multi-cuisine restaurant. It is located on the banks of River Sal in South Goa.

Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor is a bit tucked away from the main road. You need to keep a lookout for their signage on the left if coming from Cavelossim especially at night. It is spacious yet quaint. The central bar is well placed. The areas for live music and dancing clearly demarcated. It has adequate seating, though I am told it is better to reserve since they can get quite busy. It has a designated area for smokers. Smoking is not permitted on the river deck. The stewards are really welcoming at the Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor, so full marks on that.

I actually walked down to Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor from the Royal Haathi Mahal in Cavelossim. It was a refreshingly short walk on a rain cooled evening in South Goa. The GPS did the rest for the route on the desolated road. Fisherman’s Wharf was sparsely occupied so getting a table by the riverside was not a challenge at all. Perfect!

After browsing through the menu, the food order was placed. About to reach the table were Squid Tempura with Wasabi Mayo and some Stuffed Crabs. Both dishes were outstanding in taste and rather delicate. This duo was followed by a serving of the very Goan Kingfish Peri Peri and yet another classic Goan Pork dish – the very succulent Pork Assad.

The food at Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor was exemplary and so was the service. I can easily say that Fisherman’s Wharf is indeed one of the best restaurants in Goa.

Adding to the charisma, the live band plays from great music. Tap your feet and forget your worries. All in all an holistic evening out with memories to cherish forever is what you should expect at Fisherman’s Wharf Mobor.
