Fights Depression & Anxiety: Saffron acts as a natural mood enhancer ("the sunshine spice"). Clinical trials have shown it can be as effective as some conventional antidepressants in treating mild to moderate depression while minimising potential side effects.
Improves Sleep Quality: Contains safranal, a natural sedative compound that relaxes the nervous system. Drinking the tea before bed can help treat insomnia without causing morning grogginess.
Relieves PMS Symptoms: Research indicates that daily intake of saffron effectively combats premenstrual symptoms—including mood swings, cramps, and bloating—after a few menstrual cycles.
Boosts Heart Health: High antioxidant content protects your heart by lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides. It also helps stabilize blood pressure and reduces the oxidative stress that contributes to cardiovascular disease.
Aids Weight Management: Saffron naturally suppresses appetite and curbs emotional snacking by gently boosting serotonin levels in the brain.
Supports Brain & Eye Health: Carotenoids like crocin help reduce neuroinflammation. Studies suggest they may improve memory function and protect against age-related macular degeneration (AMD) to preserve vision.
