Haveli Murthal Review – Great Place to Stop for Food Anytime – A Food Paradise on GT Road
While on the highway Northwards, you are bound to get hungry. This starts to hit you the moment you cross the Delhi-Haryana border.
I have crossed it a few hundred times by now and at different times – my childhood, my adolescence, teenage, the twenties, thirties and now in my forties too.
Been there as a biker, then a motorist, by buses on occasion, then as a recreational biker and now mostly as a motorist. Everyone has one thought in mind the moment they cross the border – Murthal and the paranthas at Murthal.
However, this is a different story and at the centre point here is the Haveli Murthal.
Haveli Murthal steps in just when you want to chop on the oncoming Punjabiness. It is definitely my previous favourite now – Bye Bye … Amrik Sukhdev. Our Pahalwan Dhaba in Gurgaon makes better food than Sukhdev.
However, once you stop at Haveli you are surprised at all it has to offer. There is enough parking within the premises, so you won’t have to hunt for a slot (unlike Amrik Sukhdev).
Their washrooms are very clean so no complaints there either (unlike Amrik Sukhdev). The service staff from the parking assistant to the servers are all very courteous and helpful (unlike Amrik Sukhdev).
About Murthal Haveli
The dining area of Murthal Haveli is a huge hall with well-appointed furniture that gives everyone a warm feeling (unlike Amrik Sukhdev). You’ll be ushered in quickly and made to sit comfortably.
The menus for placing the orders are presented as quickly as water is served.
Haveli’s food goes a long way in providing happiness. It’ll keep you happy till almost Chandigarh even if you are a big eater. While their entire menu is fabulous, I tend to stick to my favourite dishes when it comes to food.
Here are my recommendations: Don’t forget to try their dahi bhallas, kadhi pakoda, rajma rasmisa, missi roti and mrichi paranthas. Everything I have had here ever is unmatched and comes highly recommended.
Glimpses of Haveli Murthal
To Sum-It-Up: Haveli Murthal’s food goes a long way in providing happiness. It’ll keep you happy till almost Chandigarh even if you are a big eater.
