The QSR chain is spearheaded by Siddharth Manchanda and Anant Kataria who seem to have got their inspiration in the streets of Amsterdam and setup the Big Fat Sandwich in 2017.

Auranomy - The Ambience at Big Fat Sandwich Anjuna
Big Fat Sandwich Anjuna Goa is a clean space. It is bright and very arty, roomy and airy.
Big Fat Sandwich Anjuna is a decent size place. it is located on Anjuna-Arpora Road and is easy to spot. The parking suffices for 6-7 cars.
You alight and walk into their sprawling verandah that has outdoor seating and is a smoking zone too. You’ll find ashtrays at the table.
The insides of the cafe are as spartanly spectacular as they can be. Having said that, the ambiance is beautifully conceptualised on decor, the bright art work builds the colours and makes you feel happy.
The cafe space is undoubtedly big, sprawling & comfortable.
The furniture is comfortable and allows people to sit and relax while eating. WIFI is stable and enough power points are available for you to use.
They even have an art studio/ gallery that is undergoing finishing touches on the floor lower than the cafe. I am sure that the gallery will add to the elegance.
As you enter you note that on one side of the cafe is the work counter that has the cashier, coffee station and the wood fried oven for the pizza. Then comes the Organic Store that offers much more than what you can imagine.
Then comes the seating. So, just place your order, shop for all you want and settle down to savour your order and wash it down with the Maverick & Farmer coffee.

Read on for my food experience & review of the food & beverages at Big Fat Sandwich Goa
Two of us landed one afternoon and were warmly received by the Cafe Manageress – Nola. While she got us the menus and talked to us about the food and then took the order.
Sachin, the cafe barista followed Nola almost immediately and introduced us to the coffee by Maverick & Farmer and took the order.
The Big Fat Sandwich menu at this cafe is clearly its biggest asset. The array of food is very interesting and quite decent. Dishes and coffees that you would not find in most places. So we went ahead and ordered our modest choices.
While I ordered a simple Cappuccino and my friend Sonit Uppal ordered an Iced Tea, our order of Eggs Benedict and Pizza Classic Margherita also arrived. The drinks landed quite fast as well.
I felt that I would like to have a much stronger coffee and Sachin came in handy. He introduced the Tall Dark Handsome coffee by Maverick & Farmer and declared that I will not get a stronger coffee than that in Goa.
I agree with Sachin and endorse this coffee blend to be fantastic and a must-have for coffee lovers. Tall Dark Handsome Coffee is easily available on Amazon, so that saves you a trip to Goa. Now the run down.
Tall Dark Handsome coffee by Maverick & Farmer – The coffee has bittersweet notes with really low levels of acidity for those who like their coffee strong, dark and really good looking.
Iced Tea – It really was a homemade ice tea, very fresh and light and not over loaded with sugar.
Eggs Benedict – This consisted of two poached eggs with slices of maple smoked ham and Sri Lankan ham atop a healthy round slice of oven baked loaf of bread.
They were nicely smothered with house special hollandaise sauce & garnished with arugula.
This was, as a whole, very good: the egg yolks runny and delicious, the hollandaise creamy, and the accompanying salad a very good way to cut the richness of the main dish.
They could have supplied an additional slice of bread to allow me to mop the plate and that would have made me happier.
Pizza Classic Margherita – They make fresh pizza in their wood-fire oven. The Classic Margherita was baked perfectly soft and was crispy full of flavours.
The layers of fresh tomato sauce, pesto, cheese and basil leaves were lovely. The pizza was served right of the oven and was super light and really delicious.
So, a nice breakfast or brunch in a nice, bright & arty restaurant offers free WIFI and a peaceful ambiance, without any loud music makes this is a perfect place to have a brunch.
I even bought the Maverick & Farmer Tall Dark Handsome Coffee too to take home.
Hence, it is just an amazing experience to dine in at Big Fat Sandwich Anjuna. I have already been there twice over and am sure I will see them again soon for more.
