What is Penyaj (পেঁয়াজ) – Penyaj (পেঁয়াজ) is the Bengali name for Onion – Onion (Allium cepa Linn.) also known as the bulb onion or common onion, is a vegetable that is the most widely cultivated species of the genus Allium.
The plant is also sometimes called sweet neem & is an indispensable part of Indian cuisine and Indian traditional medicines.
