Rajasthan, literally, “Land of Kings” is India’s largest state by area. It is located on the northern side of the country, where it comprises most of the inhospitable Thar Desert & the border with Pakistan.
Internally, it is bordered by: Punjab to north; Haryana & Uttar Pradesh to northeast; Madhya Pradesh to southeast; & Gujarat to southwest.
