Seviyan Kheer is a traditional Indian dessert made with vermicelli, milk, sugar, and flavoured with cardamom, saffron, and nuts.
Seviyan Kheer is a popular dessert in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. It can also be made with vermicelli noodles cooked in milk and sweetened with sugar or condensed milk.
It can be eaten as is or served with a North Indian meal.
The North Indian version slightly differs from the version of Semiya Payasam South India. E.g. dry fruits are always fried in ghee and this adds a different dimension of flavour to the payasam.
