Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid of Delhi is the popular name of Masjid-i Jahān-Numa & translates into World-reflecting Mosque. Jama Masjid was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1644 & 1656 at a cost of 1 million rupees. Jama Masjid mosque has three gates, four towers & two minarets made of strips of red sandstone & white marble.
