Punjabi Dal Tadka is made from 2 different kinds of dals, chana dal and tuar dal which are first pressure cooked with water, salt, turmeric, ginger, garlic and green chillies. Then the vegetables are cooked in oil or ghee and then tempered with more spices, garlic and ghee.
