Hom Strawberry Garden Chiang Mai is located on the highway connecting Chiang Mai with Chiang Rai. This area is quite famous for its strawberry gardens. The cold weather of Chiang Mai makes it well suited for strawberry plantation. So a lot of strawberry gardens have been set up in this area. And to top it all, the scenery on the drive through the mountains is spectacular.
Chiang Mai’s strawberry story attests to the Golden Triangle’s transformation from the main source of the global heroin trade to a bustling centre of licit agribusiness straddling an important new trade route between Southeast Asia and China.

Hom Strawberry Garden is on the highway right in the neighbourhood of Karma Royal Bella Vista. It is not just a garden but also a cafe and a specialised strawberry products store. They plant strawberries on steps that you can pick and pay for. On the other hand, even if you don’t want to buy, they love to have you take a walk around through the garden.
Step Farming of Strawberries
Their cafe is quaint. I did not eat here because the brunch from Doi Chaang was still fresh in my stomach. However, their food smelt nice and was reasonably priced. This is on my to-do list for my next visit. Fried pork with basil on the menu seemed absolutely exciting.
Short Menu at the Garden
I surely enjoyed some strawberries from the garden that were just sweet even the less ripe ones (not expected) and delicious. Being there, I also shopped for some macadamia nuts which were delicious as well. Further, I bought some drinks, as well as half a dozen bottles of their home-made jam. In the end, I was again pleasantly surprised by how reasonably-priced those items were.
