SO, WHAT IS BIALETTI BRIKKA MOKA POT?
Bialetti Brikka is an aluminium coffee maker with a special system that allows you to brew sensational coffee at home.
It produces crema that you will not experience in a regular coffee shop via its special easy-to-clean inspection valve system.
Brikka produces great Espresso (actually, it is an Espresso-like beverage called Moka) with a rich crema. It is definitely much better than any other coffee pot.
The innovation behind the Brikka is a small weight added to the brewed coffee exit which increases the brewing pressure. The open lid design allows air to circulate into the valve that creates the perfect crema.
So, you can bring espresso drinks to your home without the fuss of a complicated espresso machine with the Bialetti Brikka Moka Pot.
This stovetop espresso maker requires only coffee, water, and a hot surface to brew delicious espresso. Steam some milk and you can make yourself a latte or flat white.
MY BIALETTI BRIKKA STOVETOP
I have the larger 4 cup model, which i use to make 2 strong coffees or even a single one. The pot makes a very rich and robust coffee.
It has a special valve that forces the coffee through as it rises which creates the crema effect. Valve makes a loud explosive noise and it is bound to surprise you the first time.
The crema effect is a nice touch but if you don’t remove the pot and pour immediately it disappears quickly so that is no real difference to normal stovetop coffee maker like a Bialetti Moka Pot Express.
That is, if you are unable to get your timing right. And, it really depends on how much you like the crema look on your coffee.
BUILD OF BIALETTI BRIKKA STOVETOP
This aluminium alloy espresso maker is durable and beautiful. The device handle is ergonomically designed and fashioned from heat resistant bakelite, eliminating the need for handling with a towel or glove.
The lid knob is also quite easy to handle, even when the moka pot is very hot. I suggest cleaning your Brikka with warm water, but advise against the dishwasher or using steel wool or cleaning detergents.
The cast aluminium coffee maker impresses with its quality of workmanship and simplicity in operation. It is suitable for use on all stove types except induction.
HOW TO USE A BRIKKA STOVEPOT?
Bialetti Brikka Coffee maker can be used on gas and electric burners. The product should be positioned so that the handle is out of reach of the heat source. The fire should always be inside the rim of the pot on the burner.
Important: If you allow the flame outside the base or leave it to boil dry then the seal on the safety valve will weaken and your pot will be rendered useless.
THE BRIKKA POT OPERATIONS
The Brikka coffee machine consists of an upper tank with a gasket, a filter and a lower tank.
You simply place the ground coffee beans in the filter, pour water into the lower tank below the level of the safety valve and connect all the elements together.
When ready, place the coffee maker on the stove and wait a few minutes. Hot coffee will move to the upper tank flowing through the ground beans. A delicious and aromatic espresso is ready!
The brikka pot is much simpler, much easier to use and a far purer way to enjoy coffee.
CORRECT USAGE OF THE BIALETTI BRIKKA POT
- Use the correct amount of water. (Use the measuring container or fill up to the mark on the inside of water container)
- Use water without or with a very low degree of the scale.
- Use the right ground degree of coffee which is MEDIUM and not fine.
- Fill the funnel with coffee WITHOUT pressing it.
- Assemble the 2 parts (coffee and water containers) tightly.
- Apply a small and intense heat source that does not exceed the coffee pot base.

Can I simply say what a relief to seek out someone who actually knows what theyre speaking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring a problem to mild and make it important. More individuals have to read this and understand this aspect of the story. I cant consider youre no more standard because you positively have the gift.
Thank you Kasey :)
My brikka is making the loudest hissing noise and won’t brew
I have thrown so much coffee in the bin
I don’t know what to do.
I don’t have the receipt because it was a gift
Not very old and I do clean it after every brew bit of latte it is very frightening… can anyone help?
Hi Christine,
Remove the Bialetti Brikka gasket before you do go ahead.
Clean up your Brikka with boiling water. Use a spoon to ensure you jiggle the internal valve when the hot water is in there. Leave the water in it for about 20 minutes.
It should start working normally.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
