Moga Tourist Dhaba, though the road signage says Moga Tourist Hotel, is my second Moga brand favourite for good food on NH-24 while returning back to Delhi.
The first one is Moga Punjabi Tadka Dhaba on its opposite side after crossing the Garh Mukteshwar bridge en route to Nainital.
When compared to other numerous dhabas and eateries, Moga tourist dhaba serves some of the tastiest dishes you’ll ever have. And they are pretty fast too.

Moga Tourist Dhaba Gajraula
To get to Moga Tourist Dhaba, you'll have to be a bit vigilant after crossing the Garh Muktestwar bridge due to road repairs and low light during evening.
So, I kept driving on and ultimately managed to stop at my favourite return pitstop Moga Tourist Dhaba NH24.
So why do you have to be vigilant. This highway is quite popular for it’s dhaba business. Due the same reason you may come across three dhaba affixed with the name Moga in all on both sides of the highway.
So, to not to miss this specific dhaba, you’ll need to watch for their signage on the left hand side after you cross the Garh Mukteshwar Flyover. The dhaba is located between Garh Mukteshwar and Gajraula.
Please note while the signage says Moga Tourist Hotel, the signage on the entrance of the dhaba says, Moga Tourist Dhaba. Whatever the name, I visit this place for its food fame.
Moga Tourist Dhaba has a fairly large parking and it was quite organised as well by an attendant. You’ll have to get into the service lane for this.
After parking the truck (Tata Safari Storme), three if us entered the washrooms and the tiredness became moderate, the area was immaculately clean.
Unlike Moga Family Tadka dhaba on the other side of the road, the washrooms at Moga Tourist dhaba and in a separate building to the right of the entrance of the dhaba
The washrooms apart from being clean are airconditioned, properly tiled and well maintained which on a highway is a boon for everyone.
After doing our chores, we stepped out and entered the quite filled and loud but clean restaurant area.
We were immediately seated, served water and the section captain presented us with the food menu.
The Cuisine at Moga Tourist Dhaba Gajraula
Moga Tourist Dhaba serves dishes inspired from North Indian & Punjabi cuisines.
The restaurant’s interiors and cuisine are identical to its sister concern – Moga Family Tadka Dhaba. Even the menu and the prices are the same for both establishments.
Stepping inside, the place was once again neat and clean with plenty of tables for patrons. We found that the dining space was quite crowded as we entered. Food orders were literally flying in the air.
The entire dining section is quite spacious with very neat seating arrangements. Their menu is not very exhaustive making food items easy to choose.
The cost of dishes is quite reasonable and the limited menu offers a decent choice in all categories from starters to main courses and desserts.
Most of the popular Punjabi dishes are available here so you cannot go wrong with your meal.
Service here is also very quick and top-notch. The captain who was serving was very prompt in taking our order, making sure enough pickles were on our table.
He kept a keen eye on our food arriving from the kitchen and its service to the three hungry young men.
Moga Tourist Dhaba
The food & beverage service at Moga Tourist Dhaba has been quite rapid whenever I have stopped for a meal.
Moga Punjabi Tadka dining are seats about 150 persons and is open 24 hours (round the clock).
It is a Unit Of Sr. Prabhudayal Singh Godara who also owns the other two branches, that is Moga Punjabi Dhaba – Since 1969 & Moga Punjabi Tadka Dhaba.
I have visited two of these because of their convenient locations on the highway but that really is no reason to neglect the third one in this bouquet of restaurant.
So I promise, I’ll stop at Moga Punjabi Dhaba – Since 1969 on my next visit towards the Kumaon mountains in Uttarakhand. Now coming back to Moga Tourist Dhaba.
The food at Moga Tourist Dhaba was served quite rapidly. The food was of great taste at very reasonable prices.
The dish portions are really generous and were quite sufficient for us, big sized three adult males.
This time, the three of us ordered some lachcha paratha, tandoori roti, vegetable biryani, paneer bhurji and my usual Punjabi dal tadka.
Moga Punjabi Tadka Food Experience Review

- Dal Punjabi Tadka – A humble order of Dal Punjabi Tadka (a spicier ‘chhaunkh’ with a lot of garlic, ginger and desi ghee). This dal has a fantastic taste and is served in a small metal bucket. Though, my bucket didn’t have a handle but as per me, this dish of lentils always makes for a well deserved halt. So, please go for it and tell them that I said so.
- Paneer Bhujia – It came to my table for first time. It is one of the lesser known, but equally tasty paneer gravy spiked with black pepper. It was a dish with soft and succulent cubes of paneer steam-cooked in the most sensuous black pepper gravy.
- Breads – We ordered two types of breads – tandoori roti and lachcha paratha. All of these were light and crisp, yet soft. Lachcha paratha was liberally basted with ghee. My compliments to the guy handling their tandoor. He never get this part wrong.
- Vegetable Biryani – As expected, it was not a biryani but a vegetable pulao. Despite the nomenclature grievance, it tasted quite good so there were no complaints. So do not expect a biryani to land up on your table.
I have to accord a special mention to their delicious homemade “pickled green chillies achar & their well immersed pickled vinegar onions” which are provided complimentary on all tables.
Their service is attentive and immaculate as well, pickled onions were refilled and brought to our table before we had an opportunity to ask for them.
