Bakri Swayamvara 2017 was conducted with an aim at raising awareness toward ‘selective mating’, strengthening the gene pools and encouraging goat farming as an occupation. It is a concept of an NGO ‘Green People’ and is supported by the Uttarakhand Sheep and Wool Development Board.
