Kiran Bedi

Kiran Bedi is a retired Indian Police Service officer, social activist, former tennis player and politician who is the current Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry. Kiran Bedi is the first woman to join the Indian Police Service in 1972. She introduced reforms at Tihar Jail, which gained global acclaim and won her the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1994.
