The Story Behind Nazeer Foods Gurgaon by Aftab Ahmed
Nazeer Foods Ardee Mall Gurgaon seems to have grown organically and their food offers has made a mark.
Nazeer Foods Gurgaon offers a reasonably an extensive choice of Mughlai & North Indian Curries along with tandoori and fried dishes.
Nazeer Foods Gurgaon is promoted by Mr. Aftab Ahmed, who started supplying fresh poultry products to five star hotels in Delhi.
During his visits to the venues and interaction with chefs and industry experts he developed a deep interest in cooking..
This interest was so profound that he decided to wind up his poultry supply business and bought a piece of land in Ganesh Nagar Delhi to open his first restaurant “Chicken Takeaway”.
He started with a limited menu of lip-smacking, delicious kebabs and fried chicken.
When his kebabs became an instant hit, Mr. Aftab innovated and created fried chicken lollipop, which went on to become a landmark product in Nazeer’s history.
After a glimpse of the huge demand and love for the food, soon the focus changed to become a complete restaurant and he introduced many new mouth-watering dishes, which Nazeer is renowned for now.
During this growth process, Chicken Takeaway was rebranded into “Nazeer Foods” when a second restaurant was opened in 2002 at Vinod Nagar in Delhi.

Ever since Nazeer Foods Gurgaon opened in Aardee Mall, I have been ordering regularly from there.
I can confidently say that Nazeer Foods Gurgaon makes one of the better Nihari around that is quite unlike Al Rasheed’s. Al Rasheed Nihari is quite uneatable while Nazeer Foods Nihari you will want more of it every time.
Over a period of time Nazeer Foods Gurgaon is one of my regular places when it comes to ordering Mutton Nihari and Khamiri Roti in Gurgaon.
The experience with Nazeer Foods Gurgaon has been comparitively good, not like Al Rasheed who makes unpalatable Nihari.

The packaging was pedestrian and minimally spill proof. Some containers were crushed.
Naseer Foods delivers through Zomato so I have usually had no complaints with speed of delivery with except once, when Zomato made good by refunding the entire bill due to delay of more than an hour.
When it comes to packaging, Nazeer Foods is affected by the same paradigm as other similar restaurants in Gurgaon. They do not label their food containers and leave the discovery to the customers’ pleasure.
Their food containers are average and from no corner spill proof. I have received crushed, leaking containers a few times. Restaurant or Delivery Outlet owners really need to focus on customer’s delight.
This encompasses the freshness and taste of food as well as the containers and carry bags the food is delivered in. Food packaging is no rocket science and not phenomenally expensive.

Nazeer Foods Gurgaon serves good food in my opinion. Though, I do have my complaints with them. For the initial launch, their portion sizes have reduced but the prices remain the same. This is unethical and doesn’t go well.
Zomato also has numerous complaints about their food and packaging. And, as usual the restaurant or franchise owner doesn’t seem to take notice of moments of truth. Here is a rundown of what works with this outlet.
Mutton Nihari – Mutton Nihari portion size has definitely shrunk. They use smaller containers than the usual ones for delivery. Size of Nalli in the Nihari has also shrunk.
Having said this, their Nihari is optimally spiced and the meat literally breaks when forked. It is just as texture of Nalli Nihari is supposed to be. The curry is delicious and that’s the reason I order it from them regularly.
Khameeri Roti – Appropriately sized soft and fluffy Khamiri Roti is my go to as well from Nazeer. It has never disappointed me, though I can’t say the same about their packaging which is definitely pedestrian.
Chicken Biryani – The biryani is good too since the spices are well balanced, the is rice cooked to perfection and the chicken pieces are small but succulent.
Chicken Roll – The filling in the rolls is juicy and tasty while the roll is light to eat. Be careful about their chutney since it is spicy.
Fish Tikka – Their fish tikka is pretty decent. It has a light lemony taste and slightly spicy flavours. My sister absolutely loves it.
