Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Yoghurt or Curd or Dahi Full fat
  • 4 tbsp Milk
  • 1 Piece Onion small sized
  • 1 Piece Tomato small sized
  • 1 Piece Green Chilli
  • 0.5 Tablespoon Fresh Coriander A few twigs finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Black or Rock Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder

Instructions

  • Finely chop onions, tomatoes, green chilli and fresh coriander leaves.
  • Dilute yoghurt or curds with milk and beat it with a fork till smooth in a serving bowl.
  • Add all ingredients to the serving bowl and mix well.
  • Garnish with lines of red chilli powder and cumin powder and a sprig of fresh coriander.
  • Refrigerate till you are ready to serve the raita.
  • Serve with parathas, pulao or biryanis. This raita goes very well with my Pulao Recipes.

Notes

  • Add roasted and crushed jeera to enhance the flavour of this raita. This would enhance the taste and is very good for digestion.
